WASHINGTON — Anti-trans Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) made a spectacle of a House committee meeting on Capitol Hill when she challenged Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to a fight Tuesday.

Mace, who has recently begun using her power and platform as a congresswoman to attack the trans community, continued doing so Tuesday. Following the most recent anti-trans rant, Crockett, one of just 29 Black women in all of Congress, called Mace out.

“Somebody’s campaign coffers really are struggling right now,” Crockett said during the meeting. “So [Nancy Mace] can’t keep saying trans, trans, trans, so that people will feel threatened. And chil’, listen -.”

Mace then angrily cut Crockett off, yelling, “I am no child! Do not call me a child! I am no child!”

The Republican lawmaker continued screaming, “Don’t even start; I am a grown woman, 47 years old!”

Crockett repeatedly attempted to reclaim her time, but Rep. Nancy Mace kept yelling over her. At one point, Mace could be heard telling the Black Congresswoman from Texas that “I have broken more glass ceilings than you ever will.”

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the Republican chair of the committee, repeatedly gaveled to regain order as Nancy Mace kept yelling.

The 47-year-old then ended her tirade with a threat reminiscent of a middle school argument.

“If you want to take it outside, we can go!” Mace said before turning off her mic.

Nancy Mace continues attacking the trans community while playing the victim

Crockett, of course, never called Mace a child but was simply repeating a common turn-of-phrase. Nancy Mace, who last year faced criticism for her remarks on white privilege, seemingly didn’t understand that.

The committee meeting came on the heels of Mace pushing anti-trans bathroom bills through Congress while repeatedly harassing the first openly trans member of Congress.

The Congresswoman even recently claimed she required medical care after being “physically accosted” by a pro-trans activist. Mace filed charges, and authorities arrested the activist. Court filings show that the activist apparently only “vigorously shook [Nancy Mace’s] hand.”
