Tulsa, Okla. – June 13th & June 14th, 2019 – In celebration of the Juneteenth weekend, we are inviting the community to come and view the documentary “Rebuilding Black Wall Street” to identify relatives, so the names can be attached to the film at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History® (Kenneth E. Behring Center) for posterity.

“Rebuilding Black Wall Street”
“Rebuilding Black Wall Street” is a documentary made from a collection of home movies discovered by the late Rev. Dr. Harold M. Anderson family. It depicts families who stayed and rebuilt after the Tulsa 1921 Massacre.
The audience will be assisted by volunteers to identify their relatives as they appear on the screen, followed by a power point display of stills.
Producers will follow-up with interviews to be placed in a data base with the North Tulsa Historical Society. The authenticated identification will then be included with the readapted film at the Smithsonian.
