The Mary J. Blige boot collection is here! The award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress is selling her signature look. Blige has teamed up with Italian shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti to release “The Mary Boot.”
Blige teased her boot release in January 2024 on the Big Tigger Morning Show. When asked about the boot collection release date, she initially said in two years, noting that they hadn’t started anything yet, let alone production. Then, the singer shared that she was working on it and that her boots would come out in “one year.”
The boots were unveiled in May 2024 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, coinciding with Blige’s Strength of a Woman Summit and Festival.
“My fans have been waiting for a boot from me for a long time, so I knew when I did it, it had to be right,” Blige told The Source in May 2024. “From start to finish, Giuseppe just understood what I wanted and helped make this idea a reality.”
A Decades-Long Friendship Transforms into Iconic Fashion Collaboration
Blige and Zanotti have been decades-long friends, with Zanotti creating pieces for Blige’s live performances and music videos. So, it’s only fitting that their creative partnership transformed into an exclusive collaboration. The Mary Boot is a limited-release and limited-edition wardrobe must-have.
“Mary is a trailblazer — in music, in culture, and in style,” Zanotti shared via his website. “She is confidence and glamour, but there’s also a warmth and realness to her, and I wanted to convey that incredible mix into ‘The Mary Boot.'”
Zanotti also gave The Source insight into how he designs pieces for the hitmaker, which the collection will showcase.
“Mary is fierce, and she has a strong personality and unique sense of style,” Zanotti told the publication. “When I create something for Mary, I focus on enhancing her creative mood with designs that align with her music and her persona.”

After years of fans begging for a boot collection, Blige has finally made it a reality.
“Everyone is always asking me, ‘When will you come out with boots?'” says Blige. “Well, here they are! I’ve always loved Giuseppe’s aesthetic and how he combines Italian sophistication with this edgy energy. We’re so excited to finally share these with the world.”
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has been a longtime admirer of Zanotti. She mentioned the designer in the third verse of her 2006 hit single “Enough Cryin.”

The Mary Boot is only available in mirrored rose gold and sold out the day it was released. It costs $1,295 and boasts a slouchy,over-the-knee construction with a block heel.
Blige has made boots a centerpiece of her fashion aesthetic.
“Boots have always made me feel strong,” she told The Source. “There is something about putting on a statement boot that makes you feel ready to take on your day.”
While The Mary Boot is sold out, you can select your size on the site and be notified when they’re available again. Fans hope this is just the beginning of the Mary J. Blige boot collection and anticipate news from the singer about future releases.
I would almost be okay with this if miss Blige was encouraging people to vote in addition to buying expensive boots.However it’s just about commerce and it’s sad because I am sure most of the people scrounging to buy these boots can afford them
