The Big Show Off, a highly anticipated talent competition, is back and seeking contestants from Oklahoma and surrounding states to showcase their unique abilities. With a grand prize of $10,000, second place prize of $5,000, and third place prize of $2,500, this event promises exciting opportunities for performers.

The panel of judges includes notable figures such as Danny Boy O’Connor, Zac Hanson, Olivia Jordan, and Joleen Brown. Contestants selected to perform live will have the chance to impress both the judges and a live audience during the competition finale in Tulsa.

Entries open on September 1, 2024. Participants are required to submit a 90-second audition video showcasing their talent.

The event is also a fundraiser, supporting the effort to provide resources for Tulsa’s unhoused populations through the Tulsa Day Center.

Tulsa, home to Historic Greenwood District and one of the largest Juneteenth celebrations in the country, is no stranger to talent. From the GAP Band to contemporary artists like Steph Simon and Branjae, the community’s Black residents have long contributed to an atmosphere of artistry.

Organizers for the Big Show Off are hoping a more diverse field of applicants will grace the stage this year.

The deadline for submissions is November 4, 2024, at noon. Selected participants will be invited to audition live in Tulsa on November 13, 2024, for members of the event committee.

Finalists will move on to perform live on stage at The Big Show Off, set to take place on February 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While travel expenses will not be covered, the exposure and potential prize money make the competition an attractive opportunity for aspiring performers.
