Tulsa, OK – Oklahoma’s only HBCU, Langston University, will be in for a treat when the Isley Brothers perform at this year’s President’s Scholarship Gala during homecoming weekend. The university announced the group’s performance in a Facebook post.
Langston’s homecoming celebration is October 10-16 with the President’s Scholarship Gala taking place on Oct. 15.

“We are thrilled to announce this year’s talent for the 16th Annual President’s Scholarship Gala is one of the most iconic music groups in the world, The Isley Brothers! This Grammy Award winning group has been performing for five decades and we will have the opportunity to experience their magic with a private concert at our gala!

The Isley Brothers, who began their career in gospel in the 1950’s in Ohio, went on to dominate the R&B, Soul and Funk genres while becoming a household name across five decades.
